hey guys, i forgot to mention that i will be posting stories sometimes, i wrote them myself!
The Tales of a first-time babysitter
Chapter 1
“Need a babysitter?, “Need a babysitter?”, I kept on asking people who passed by on the busy street in Kanata, Ottawa. This is humiliating, I thought as I kept on asking the same question for the millionth time in a row in two hours.
I couldn’t believe I was doing this. It all started out when my parents decided that I needed to start making my own money for the things I wanted. New clothes, new toys, and the thing I had been saving up for for a whole month. The SuperBerry, a cool laptop which cost about 1,500 dollars. So they uttered the five words which I decided were the most horrible words in the English language. They said: “Jade, we think you should baby-sit.”
By the way, my name is Jade Adams. I was born in Florida, USA, but then we moved to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We moved here about 4 years ago. I’m 12 years old, and it’s summer vacation now, so in August I’ll turn 13, and in September I’ll go to grade seven. I hang out with a girl named Lola. She’s my best friend.
Anyway, I made some flyers and I’ve been handing them out all weekend. A ton of people took them but I’m not sure if anybody will actually hire me.
this is all i wrote so far, but i'll post more sometime soon! this is a fiction story so none of this really happend. by the way, i decided that there will be a weekly newsletter, so when you write a response if you want a newsletter then include your email address. by the way, if you need advice on anything, you know, normal kid stuff just email me at idea.girl@yahoo.ca. but if i answer back and give you advice then remember that it will be posted on the blog, so other people will see it. if it gets to go on the blog, then i'll send you an email!
